made a presentation in SICE class (November 10th)

     On November 10th, Yoshie and I made a presentation in SICE class. Since we did not get accustomed to leading the class, we were really embarrassed at first. However, thanks to the help of other students, we managed to lead the class successfully, I think.
     Yoshie and I had decided to make a discuss about nuclear power plant existed in Japan in the SICE class, so we collected information through the books and the Internet. Although we knew a little about the nuclear power plants, we did not have enough knowledge to discuss the matter. Therefore, this was such a good opportunity to obtain some knowledge by searching a lot of sources. We Japanese depend about 30 percents of energy on nuclear power plants, but after the devastated earthquake and tsunami, we need to think about the alternative sources of energy, such as water power. fire power, solar power and so on. Another example is the geothermal power plant. In fact, Shizukuishi, where I live now, has this kind of power plants. In addition, you know since Japan has a large number of volcanoes, it is not so difficult to find geothermal power. However, there are also a lot of people who make living by the blessing of volcanoes. They rely their lives on hot spring. If the government decided to use the geothermal power in Japan, those who live in the hot spring regions would suffer from living. This is serious problem.
     What we have to do now is to think about the alternative energy. Moreover, I think we can depend our energy sources on the nuclear power plants.In that case, it is also necessary for the government to consider the safety of the neighborhood of such plants areas.
